Research & Development

Realization of scientific concepts

In recent years it has became common practice to carry out joint R&D programs with international Customers, utilizing the well equipped laboratories and equipment at Sidrabe.

Our R&D personnel and facilities allow developing deposition processes, manufacturing samples of future products, prototyping new assemblies and thus creating new Coaters or units. Carrying out all these activities together with the Customer we predetermine the accuracy of design, reliability and operability of future Coaters.
There are Sidrabe-made vacuum coaters of various sizes and applications in the R&D Department. The coaters are equipped with various evaporation and sputtering systems: single and double, planar and cylindrical rotary magnetrons, electron beam, electric arc and resistive evaporators.

The equipment is continuously upgraded for future projects, new methods of coating and material research are implemented and new R&D equipment purchased.

Scientists, engineers and technicians of our labs are valuable reserve and driving-forces of the creative process.
