Li pilot coater

Accumulated expertise and available facilities (such as a pilot Li Coater, dry room, slitter of Li-coated webs etc.) allow us to solve a variety of tasks, from production of limited amounts of Li coated materials to the manufacture of highly productive commercial systems of Li deposition.

Pilot roll-to-roll Li Coater has greatly expanded our capabilities in creating unique Li metal anode structures. High quality Li coatings 1'20 microns thick can be deposited (single or double-sided) onto thin metal foils or metallized polymeric films. The technology provides using just the thickness of Li needed to achieve maximum battery capacity with minimum volume and minimum weight. The cost advantage is evident: the less metal is required, the lower the costs are.

The capability of Pilot Li Coater to deposit such layers is basically provided with drums, using advanced heat removal technology. Li is deposited from the batch loading crucibles. The Coater is equipped with a PC control system and radio isotopic monitor for Li thickness measurement.
