Our Company was founded as a Vacuum Metallization Design Bureau in Riga, Latvia.
Aluminum deposition onto flat mirrors for furniture and other consumer products.
1966
Work coordinator in the area of vacuum coating in the whole former Soviet Union.
Vacuum coaters for depositing protective and decorative coatings onto 3D parts.
1971-1990
This period was marked with processes development for the defense industry and space programs of the USSR.
The Company started commercial production of the equipment for plastic webs, for functional coatings on steel strips and Ni tapes, for production Cu foils by vacuum deposition.The first In-line Sputter System for coating glasses was commercialized.
1990-1992
A joint-stock company SIDRABE in the independent Latvia.
Equipment was supplied mainly to Russian enterprises, e.g. for depositing multifunctional coatings onto polymer films.

1994
The Latvian Ministry of Economy approved the project of Company's privatization.
SIDRABE received its first orders from Western Customers.
The First In-line System for 3D parts coating was delivered for West European Customer. A multifunctional machine for coating polymer films was supplied to USA Customer.
1996
American Company New Century Holding (a U.S. based investment fund) purchased a part of SIDRABE stock (currently owning 85% of shares) and started playing an active role in the Company development.
First vacuum laminators and drying machines were manufactured.
1997 - Present Time
Throughout the years we have promoted our business to building and selling commercial thin film deposition equipment, including in-line systems and batch operating coaters for the flat panel displays, and battery industries, for architectural and solar glass, for 3D parts and powders.
SIDRABE expanded supply of its equipment in Europe and USA, started deliveries to Asia.
