Drying machines

Vacuum drying is the guarantee of a qualitative coating

After many years of research and production activities we came to the conclusion that preliminary drying and degassing of substrate materials in vacuum before deposition will guarantee high quality coating. In particular, this applies to high moisture polymer films, synthetic fabrics and non-woven materials. That is why in many cases we recommend that our Customers purchase a set of two machines: Vacuum Dryer and Vacuum Web Coater.

Vacuum Drying Machines C2P have been designed specifically for degassing, removal of monomer and solvent residues and drying of PET and PI films to be vacuum coated in the production of electronic displays and flexible circuitry. The Dryers are batch-operating machines equipped with a mechanical booster pump.

During treatment the material passes heating elements (copper plates, heated by IR lamps), the whole chamber being evacuated to the pressure of 5 x 10-2 Torr. Prior to rewinding, the material is chilled on the water cooled drum. After such treatment the material will not cause any problems during coating. The Drying Machines are fully monitored and controlled by the control system. The monitoring includes such critical parameters as winding speed, material tension, heating elements temperature, pressure in the chamber and pumping system.
